Your school gets a customized SchoolTipline Web page (myschool.schooltipline.com) and capabilities for SMS/text message reporting. Services include anonymous reporting, e-mail and SMS mass alerts, surveys, polls, and voting. This overview will focus on anonymous reporting for schools. School report managers (such as administrators, counselors, or teachers) create a SchoolTipline account. Then when a student, parent or staff member wants to submit a tip, they create a SchoolTipline account. This allows open communication with the option of anonymity for reporting and allows administration to send alerts by email and SMS to those who have registered with SchoolTipline. We recommend adding a link from the school’s Web site to the school’s SchoolTipline Web page. |

Let your students know they always have a safe channel of communication open 24/7 with the option of anonymity. Students, parents or staff simply click on a link from your school’s homepage or go directly to SchoolTipline.com and select their school. Announcements, posters, student cards, parent newsletters, and the “How It Works” video all help your school to build awareness of SchoolTipline. Also, have your students take the included SchoolTipline climate & safety surveys so they will know about this reporting option available to them. |

Reporters who use SchoolTipline can choose which report manager (administration, teacher, safety officer, etc.) they want to send the report to. Report managers are automatically notified of new reports. You can review reports, manage investigations, alert other report managers, create and assign tasks, and view an automatic case log for all actions. Account managers have settings to notify them if a report is not followed-up. (”Send me an SMS and e-mail alert if report is not followed-up on within 24 hours.”) |
