How we handle Anonymity
We have built a third-party system that allows reporters to choose to remain completely anonymous. We take great measures to maintain report anonymity. Security encryption using the latest technology helps keep your information anonymous and confidential.
If reporters wish to remain anonymous, we recommend not giving any personally identifiable information. Also, do not report emergencies and do not use the system to threaten or harass others. Abuse and misuse is illegal and may lead to an investigation and the loss of anonymity. If needed, we will work with law enforcement to maintain the safety and integrity of this system. SchoolTipline.comTM appreciates your help with providing feedback and using this service appropriately.
Privacy Policy Terms
No party other than SchoolTipline.comTM is allowed to access information stored on our servers. Access by outside parties is a violation of federal and state law. SchoolTipline.comTM has taken caution by placing security measures and firewalls on all network servers to prevent outside parties from accessing private information. In the event of a breach of security or attempted breach of security, SchoolTipline.comTM will press charges both civilly and criminally to those parties illegally accessing information on our servers.
Cookies: SchoolTipline.comTM does not gather cookies (small bits of information about your use of our system) to gather information about your use of our Web site. No cookies are stored on your system permanently.
Automatic Information Storage: Session variables may be used temporarily in your system cache memory to facilitate your transaction. All Session variables are deleted when you log off of the SchoolTipline.comTM system. Personal information such as your name, e-mail, phone, address, company name, etc. is not stored at any time unless the user specifies otherwise.
Partners
SchoolTipline.com does not share your information with any partner companies. We will not sell your information to any newsletter or mailing list companies to access your information including name, address, e-mail, telephone, company name, title, position, etc.
Children: SchoolTipline.comTM is a family-friendly program and does not publish information that is not suitable for children or minors. Examples of pornography, offensive language, graphic pictures, or violence are not published on SchoolTipline.comTM.
Your Account Access: User information is stored only when the user voluntarily gives this information for use. No information is released outside of the SchoolTipline.comTM system.
Research: Some schools have agreed to help conduct school safety research. The SchoolTipline.com research team is currently conducting a study about how students in your school can report incidents online such as bullying to help keep your school safe. We invite you to participate in a short anonymous online survey about bullying in your school. If you have any questions regarding this study, please let us know.
